  Since Fern's is conveniently located near my residence, I decided to give it a shot on a Saturday morning for breakfast.
  
  Coming at around 10am, the place was already packed with locals and regulars. My party of 4 got seated right away at a table that was luckily cleaned and cleared. The couple coming in after us, however, did not have so much luck. As I observed the couple sitting down at a filthy table and pushing trash to the side, I felt bad for them as they were ignored by the waitress for a good 5 minutes. The place is just too understaffed!
  
  As my friends all ordered and waited, another friend of mine decided to come last minute. The waitress quickly said "What do you want so I can throw in your order with your friends?" I replied, "She hasn't seen the menu yet, she doesn't even have a menu." The waitress quickly replied, "I was talking to your friend, not you."
  Ooooooh boy. I can tell the waitress was trying to make it as convenient as possible but there are many ways to portray the message.
  
  In the end, I got a western omelette that came with home fries, salad/tomatoes along with toast and coffee/tea. The price is decent for what is given but this is definitely not a place that I'd have first on my mind.
